Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken it was unacceptable for Washington to politicise the case of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich. (https://neuters.de/world/europe/russias-war-ukraine-latest-imf-approves-156-bln-ukraine-loan-2023-04-01/) The U.S. State Department said Blinken called for the immediate release of Gershkovich during a telephone call with Lavrov. Gershkovich has been detained and accused of spying in Russia.
